Old Testament Poetry & Prophecy

Suffering, loneliness, anger, sorrow, and stress touch all of our lives. They are part of the human experience and always have been, even in the ancient world. The Poetry and Prophecy books of the Bible show us that these feelings are not unfamiliar even to biblical authors. These books can encourage us through the highs and lows of life, as well as call us to repentance when we stray from God. This survey course is designed to introduce you to two types of biblical literature, Poetry and Prophecy, and their place in biblical history, with relevant application to God’s people today.
